Just got flamed (literally) at my local Turkish barbers…
Hot towel, beard trim, and yes, ear hair singeing like a medieval ritual.
And here’s the kicker—THEY’RE THRIVING.
No big brand. No Instagram guru. No funnel strategy. Just SKILL. SERVICE. SHOW-UP-AND-DO-THE-JOB WELL.
Yet I still hear dental professionals whining:
- But the aesthetics market is too saturated...
- Too competitive...
- Too many injectors already...
Reality check: Turkish barbers walked into one of the most over-served, commodified markets in the UK—haircuts.
Everyone needs one. Everyone already has a guy. Yet these lads built empires. Why?
Because they didn’t compete. They differentiated.
They leaned into tradition—Ottoman grooming rituals, years of apprenticeship, cultural craft.
They gave more than a cut—hot towels, facial massage, flames to the ear canal if you’re lucky.
And they built loyalty through experience, not gimmicks.
Meanwhile, many in facial aesthetics are still scared stiff about “standing out” or “not looking like everyone else” online.
You don’t need another course. You need balls.
You don’t need better content. You need a stronger reason for someone to choose YOU.
Truth is, patients are tired of the same tired before/afters and “book now” posts. They want a practitioner they trust. Someone with craft, clarity, and a sense of humanity. Not another botox bot banging out forehead lines and TikToks.
So maybe the question isn’t “Is the market too saturated?”
Maybe it’s: “Am I bland AF?”
Go get your metaphorical ear hairs burnt. Stand for something.
And for the love of hyaluronidase, stop using saturation as an excuse for inaction.
Drop me a if you’ve ever used “the market’s too crowded” to stay stuck.
What’s ONE thing you do that’s undeniably YOU in your clinic?
