Most people choose to take weekends slow — and there’s nothing wrong with that.
A lie-in… a relaxed morning… a bit of Netflix… finishing Christmas decorations…
That’s a perfectly valid choice, but don’t moan if your business or body is not where you want it to be!
But today, I chose something different.
5:30am wake-up.
Gym normally at 6am — except it opens at 7am on Saturdays.
So at 6:00am, I’m already in the clinic office, deep-work mode activated.
No noise.
No interruptions.
Just pure, uninterrupted execution.
And this is exactly what Brendon Burchard talks about — getting your needle-moving work done asap.
His line is simple but powerful:
“Done by 1pm.”
That’s why the first thing I did wasn’t admin…
It was the big, high-value task — the frog Brian Tracy speaks about.
Eat That Frog:
Do the hardest, most important task first. Before the world even wakes up.
6am–7am: Rebuilding the clinic website. Updating copy. Optimising the experience.
7am: Gym session one.
8:30am: Straight back into the office — round two of deep work.
Hours disappear.
I finally look up…
It’s 2pm.
Then:
Gym session two.
Pick up my daughter.
Return for lighter tasks — admin, content creation, socials, tightening systems.
Maybe a film later.
Then repeat tomorrow.
Why?
Because consistency compounds in ways people underestimate.
And while many believe December is a “quiet month,” something interesting is happening behind the scenes:
This month’s sales are already over 200% higher than our average month.
Not from noise.
Not from hype.
Not from running around shouting offers.
But from the work done when nobody’s watching — the quiet systems, the private discipline, the intentional momentum.
Warren Buffett put it perfectly:
“When others are fearful, be greedy.
When others are greedy, be fearful.”
Most slow down in Q4.
That’s exactly why I accelerate.
And that is why 2026 won’t be luck —
it will be the predictable output of the decisions made now, in the final stretch of the year.
FOOTNOTE — WORTH READING TWICE
Hustle is a season, not a lifestyle.
This isn’t about burnout.
It isn’t about competing over who can survive on the least sleep.
High performance isn’t a punishment — it’s a rhythm.
There are seasons to push.
And seasons for strategic active recovery.
I’ll be taking mine soon.
Because sustainability beats intensity —
unless the intensity is used strategically.
Work hard.
Recover properly.
Come back sharper.
