The Part of Entrepreneurship No One Warns You About

(And Why I Keep Showing Up to Business Events)

People see the courses, the clinics, the retreats, the new launches…
They see the momentum.
They see the wins.

But what they don’t see is the hardest part of entrepreneurship —
the loneliness.

Not many people talk about it.
Even fewer admit it.

But it’s real.

Every month, regardless of how well the last one went, you start at zero.
Zero income guaranteed.
Zero promises.
Zero safety net.

Just you — carrying the full weight of responsibility, pressure, expectation, bills, team, decisions…
and the quiet fear in the background that says, “You need to make this work. Again.”

And the truth is, most people in your life simply cannot relate.
Not because they don’t care — they just haven’t lived it.
The stress. The uncertainty. The responsibility that sits on your chest even when you’re smiling.

That’s why I go to so many business events, seminars, and conferences.

Yes, I go to learn.
Yes, I go to create space for bigger thinking.
But the real reason — the most important reason — is this:

I go to find my tribe.

Rooms filled with people who get it instantly.
No need to explain the pressure.
No need to justify the long hours, the risks, the sacrifices.
No need to hide the doubts or the frustrations.

Entrepreneurs recognise each other without saying a word.

The moment you walk in, you feel it:
“I’m not the only one carrying this.”

And that alone is powerful.

Because in those rooms…

You can open up without judgement.
You can be vulnerable without feeling weak.
You can share your struggles without pretending everything is fine.
You can talk about the hard days, the fears, the setbacks — and someone across the table nods because they’ve lived it too.

We swap strategies, ideas, and stories…
but more importantly, we give each other strength.

We remind each other that the weight we carry is normal.
That the journey we’re on is shared.
That entrepreneurship might feel lonely —
but we are never alone.

And that feeling — being understood — is why I keep showing up.

Not for the slides.
Not for the keynote speakers.
Not even for the breakthrough ideas.

But for the community that lifts you when no one else sees the weight you’re carrying.

If you’ve ever felt that same loneliness, that same pressure, that same quiet fear of starting from zero each month…

Your tribe exists too.

And when you find them, everything gets lighter.
