Another Day, Another Let-Down

Yesterday I spoke to a dentist. She loves facial aesthetics. But she felt tricked.

“I feel cheated,” she told me.

Why? Because she followed one of those “famous” dentists online.

You know the type—hundreds of thousands of followers, sponsored talks at conferences, and always changing their favourite brand like a teenager changing outfits at JD Sports.

  • Last year: “This toxin is life-changing! It’s all I use now!”
  • This year: “Forget that one, THIS new one is even better!”
  • Next year? Who knows—maybe glow-in-the-dark filler.

I call it Underwear Loyalty Syndrome—they switch products more often than their pants.

But here’s the real problem:

They sell you the dream… then move on.

This poor dentist spent £57,000 on a machine that this dentist was endorsing for a while. Nobody warned her it also costs £10,000 a year just to maintain.

She tried calling her “ethical” influencer for help. No reply. No guilt. They’d already jumped ship to the next brand deal.

So here’s the truth:
If your “KOL” changes brands more often than they change needles, it’s not about better results.

It’s about free trips, contracts, and showing off online.

And YOU’RE left stuck with the bill.

My advice?

Trust people who stay consistent.

Trust proper data.

Trust real experience—not some Botox influencer doing TikTok dances between dodgy ads.

Rant over.
